For accurate sizing, use a measuring tape to measure the chest circumference. Take the tape approximately 1 inch from arm pit, around the fullest part of the chest. Try to keep the tape level. For head measurements, measure around the the ears.

I broke an upper rib a couple months ago and bought this just to be safe prior to a tournament. It definitely made me more confident even if the rib pads didn't actually cover the one that I'd broken. My initial and lasting impression is that it's extremely hot. The playing temperature was in the high 70's/low 80's and I started sweating from the moment I put this on, without a jersey. Once the jersey was on I felt like I was doing hot yoga - non-stop dripping. Not sure how guys wear these.
I’m a bigger tight five player at 6’2” 275 lbs and the XL was a good fit. There is stretch so it’ll fit around the waist, shoulder and chest measurements were more important in my buying choice. Would buy again
