CCC Stampede 2.0 Soft Ground Rugby Boot - Black/Sulphur

Great Traction - Too Roomy

These are a true tight 5 boot. I'm playing lock currently and had to make a mid-season change after my last pair of CCC boots blew out. They are light weight and sturdy. The stud placement is great for scrumming and rucking especially in damp/wet grass. The toe is very round so don't expect to be kicking very accurately.

Biggest downside is how big/wide these run. I have a wider forefoot so Nike and Adidas boots can be a challenge. I've always been happy with CCC boots but these are bigger on my feet than my last several pairs. I have to wear 2 pairs of socks, lace them up all the way, then electric tape them even tighter so my feet won't slide around as much. They will see me through the playoffs this year, but I think I'll be replacing them before the beginning of next season.

A solid boot.

This wasn't my first choice, but the Canterbury brand I usually get wasn't in my size. For the price it feels pretty good. They come wide which is good because I have wide feet. So far I have felt good support with them.
