I have purchased several pairs of Gilbert boots in the past and have always had good luck with them. This pair, however, lost 3 studs on one boot and 2 on the other after the first game!
To make matters worse, the boots did not come with the stud removal tool or any extra studs (of course they are different studs than EVERY other pair of boots that I own). Fortunately, Rugby Imports worked with me on getting an extra set of studs and the tool so I was not out for too long.
I've never felt the need to check the studs for being loose in the past but from now on, I will pull all of the studs and put a little thread sealer on them to be sure (probably a good practice anyway).
Overall, the boots are very comfortable and light.....just make sure to check your studs before playing or you could end up jacking your ankles up!
